How to check a real estate agent's reviews
Reviews of Bogdan Nicolae Rus, REALTOR® with eXp Realty in Hoboken, live on Google, Zillow, Yelp, Realtor.com and Facebook. Read them there, not on an agent's own website, and look for people in your town and in your situation.
Any agent can paste kind words onto a page. What you cannot fake is a public profile with dates, names and the agent's answers under each review. So when you check me, or anyone else, open the platforms. Read the oldest reviews and the newest. Look for a client who did what you are about to do: a first condo in Jersey City, a two-family in the Heights, a sale in Hoboken, a first apartment in the country. Read the critical reviews and how the agent answered. Then check the license.

How I ask for reviews
I ask after closing. Once the keys have changed hands and the last question is answered, I ask every client for an honest review on the platform they already use. Not before, and not as a condition of anything.
I never write or edit them. I do not draft reviews for clients, suggest wording, buy them or ask for stars. What you read is what the client typed. Reviews from people I have not worked with, on any platform, I report to the platform rather than answer.
I answer every review. The good ones with thanks, the critical ones with what I learned. If you ever have a complaint about my work, tell me first and I will try to fix it; if you still want to write it up, I will answer that too, in public.
I work in English, Romanian and Spanish. Vorbim românește. Se habla español. Reviews come in all three, and I answer in the language they were written in.
What the reviews are about
Most of them come from three kinds of work: helping buyers find a home they can live with for ten years, not just close on (how I work with buyers); pricing and launching a sale so the first two weeks do the work (how I sell, and how I price a home); and walking renters and landlords through a lease so nobody is surprised at move-in. The towns are the ones I walk every week: Hoboken, Downtown Jersey City, Bayonne and the rest of Hudson County.

A sentence about what we did together, in your town, and what you would tell a friend is more useful than stars alone. If you prefer, tell me by phone or email and I will point you to the right page.
Are the reviews on this page verified?
The quotes on this page are from my own clients, in their words, shortened only for length. The platform links are the verified sources: Google, Zillow, Yelp, Realtor.com and Facebook each check the account that posts, show the date and let the public read every review, including the critical ones and my answers.
Can I speak to a past client?
Yes, on request and with their permission. Tell me your situation, a first home, a two-family, a sale, a rental, and I will ask a client who did the same thing whether they are willing to take your call. I never hand out a client's number without asking them first.
